Hello chrisco767, Thank you for the feedback on the status of your issue. What I would suggest you try next is see if you can plug it into another computer and see if that computer sees the phone. If it does then we can backup your personal files and recover your computer back to factory. To backup your personal files all you need to do is follow the steps set out in the HP Support document:, which will walk you through backing them up. Once your personal files are successfully backed up you can follow the HP Support document:, which will walk you through the factory recovery process on your computer.NOTE: Remember this is if the phone can connect successfully to another computer. If the phone cannot connect to another computer either you need to contact the phone manufacturer and explain what you have tried.

I hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Please watch: 'ProofJio summer surprise offer last date जियो समर सरप्राइज़ अंतिम तारिख' - Solution: Apparently, OSX El Capitan has come with an improved security feature SIP which is causing this problem. I found out how to disable it in this post and it worked for me.

Boot into Mac by pressing CMD + R (Recovery Mode) 2. Go to Terminal under Utilities. Type in csrutil disable. A comment will be displayed that your csrutil has been disabled. Install the driver as usual and it will require a reboot again. Then go to network preference.

Fill in all details (account and password) by selecting the driver name (in my case, ZTE Wireless Terminal) on the left panel. Save it and connect. You are done! I am not sure though if enabling csrutil will again cause the problem. I have not yet tried that. Cheers.Hope this saves you people a lot of time.
